The ordinary UAE residence framework generally requires attention to an absence of more than six consecutive months.

Who it applies to

Holders of UAE residence permissions that are subject to the usual absence rule.

The rule

A 180-day warning is a personal reminder rather than a conversion of six calendar months into law. Golden Visa and other exemptions differ; verify your category and any return authorization.

Counting the days

Departure and return dates do not count; missing trips are not inferred.

  1. Choose the date through which you want to count, then add your recorded visits.
  2. Use the counting convention above. Include recorded trips abroad and returns home, so the tool can distinguish separate absences.
  3. Read the result alongside the conditions. Missing records and other eligibility requirements are not inferred from a total.
