What the tool measures
The recorded-day component

This route tracks the part of the requirement based on days physically present: 548 days within the relevant 3-year period.

Who it applies to

Eligible spouses of US citizens using the three-year naturalization route.

The rule

The total number of days physically present and the continuity of your residence are separate requirements. Lawful status, route eligibility and other naturalization conditions require separate checks. A target number of recorded days does not establish eligibility.

Counting the days

Recorded departure and return dates count.

  1. Choose the date through which you want to count, then add your recorded visits.
  2. Use the counting convention above. Overlapping recorded dates in the relevant region are counted only once.
  3. Read the result alongside the conditions. Missing records and other eligibility requirements are not inferred from a total.
