What the tool measures
A date or day-count reminder

Peru’s permitted tourist stay depends on the admission, visa route and any applicable nationality agreement.

Who it applies to

Visitors using their granted stay date and the time period and maximum stay authorized for them.

The rule

The official visa guidance distinguishes the granted stay from a maximum allowance. Passport exemptions and legislation may use a period that begins on the first entry date. Select the correct beginning of the authorized period; a universal rolling 183-day allowance is inappropriate.

Counting the days

Recorded arrival and departure dates count once. Missing travel history, other eligibility conditions and treaty outcomes are not calculated.

  1. Choose the date through which you want to count, then add your recorded visits.
  2. Use the counting convention above. Overlapping recorded dates in the relevant region are counted only once.
  3. Read the result alongside the conditions. Missing records and other eligibility requirements are not inferred from a total.

Exceptions & edge cases

You must depart by the end date actually authorized for your stay. Select the correct beginning of the authorized period and the maximum number of days applicable to your permission. The periods used for visas and visa exemptions can differ; there is no single rolling 183-day allowance for all visitors.

Common misconceptions

“A counter result is the same as permission or eligibility.”

The counter measures recorded dates. Your actual permission, status and other conditions remain separate.

“Unrecorded days are included in the total.”

The calculator uses only the dates you enter. Missing history can make the result incomplete.
