How this count works
For each recorded absence, the reminder date is the departure date plus six calendar months. The numerical absence total excludes departure and return dates. This counter shows the recorded absence whose reminder date is nearest.
After more than six months abroad, return authorization and residence-validity conditions may apply. Article 45 of the executive regulations sets additional timing requirements and category exceptions. This reminder does not determine the validity of the permit or grant return permission.
